Betty
Hawkins is an attorney who brings three decades of experience in the
Washington DC legal community to NewinCo. She began her career as an associate
at a major law firm, working in a range of fields, including energy
regulation, labor/employment and litigation. She subsequently worked in the legal
department of a major airline where, among other things, she managed
litigation and labor matters.
She most recently worked in the legal and environmental
departments at a leading trade association, where she was responsible
for a variety of US regulatory and policy matters. She managed international
environmental affairs, representing industry interests in the complex
stakeholder processes of an international organization.
Betty's
experience within a law firm, and as a client of many law firms, gives
her insight into the business needs of firms and the interests of their
partners. In her role at
NewinCo, she facilitates the strategic placement of legal talent and
practices in today's changing legal market.
Betty earned her BA (Government), with high honors,
and JD from the University of Texas at Austin.
